What is Reiki?
Is it a holistic healing art, a meditation technique, an endless supply of energy? All this and more. The Japanese word Reiki means universal life force energy. It is the life force that flows through everything in the universe—our essence. The word Reiki consists of two parts: “Rei,” which pertains to the universal, infinite quality of this energy—that which we call Spirit—and “ki,” which is a subset of “rei,” referring to the vital life force energy that runs through all living things.
Many people may be more familiar with the Chinese word “chi,” which holds the same meaning as “ki.” Those acquainted with the martial arts have likely heard of chi. Hindus refer to this same life force energy as “prana.”
Numerous cultures and religions have named this energy. Reiki, however, is not attached to any specific philosophy or religion and is available to all who wish to learn it. Anyone can become a Reiki channel by being initiated or “attuned” by a Reiki Master. Reiki “attunements” open a person to the healing energy, and once the channel is open that person will have access to Reiki for the rest of his or her life.
This universal life energy can promote well-being and greater wholeness in every part of one’s life and bring balance and harmony to body, mind and spirit.
This ancient healing technique was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the late 1800s. Diana Henderson practices and teaches the Usui Shiki Ryoho, or the “Usui System of Natural Healing.” See details on Reiki sessions and classes below.
Reiki Classes
Reiki classes are typically held regul)arly (every couple of months. Diana is available for classes in Cary and Raleigh, North Carolina. You may contact Diana to inquire about potential class dates and add your input.

Reiki I (First Degree)
Those seeking certification in Reiki, Level I, receive four attunements. All the Reiki basics are covered in this 10-hour course including techniques, uses, history, guidelines and more. There is ample time for hands-on training. There is also an introduction to chakras, the body’s energy centers. Diana’s extensive Reiki handbook is provided. Students receive a Reiki, Level I, certificate at the end of class. Optional bonus (no extra charge): Additional two-hour training in chakra balancing offered at another time designated by class. The cost varies based on number of participants. Cost is $150 for groups of three or more, $175 for semi-private, 2-person training, or $300 for private training.

Those who have taken Reiki I from other teachers may audit this class as a refresher for $50. Auditing students receive one attunement and Diana’s Reiki I manual.
Reiki II (Second Degree)
Students receive two Level II attunements, which enable them to learn and use the Reiki symbols to speed and intensify the flow of healing energy, transmit Reiki over great distances and connect with others on a subconscious level. Includes discussion and demonstration of Reiki II techniques as well as hands-on training. If necessary, a brief review of Reiki I procedures is also offered. Optional bonus: Additional two-hour training in past life regression offered at another time designated by class.
The cost for Reiki II is $175 per person for a class of three or more, $200 per person for a semi-private class of two, or $325 for private training.

Diana’s Background
My journey as a healer began in 1996 when I was first introduced to Reiki, which remains for me a profound foundational practice that I use each day. At the time I was guided to Reiki, I sought healing and relief from chronic pain resulting from a debilitating car accident. Little did I know what an amazing path was in store from that moment forward! After Reiki training in 1997, I embraced my true calling and began a practice. I became a Reiki Master in 1998 and quickly found that teaching Reiki classes along with working with clients renewed my sense of purpose and instilled joy beyond my imagining. I felt as if I were “coming home” to the truth of my soul!
I continued to learn new holistic tools and was certified in DNA Activation, a process for self-healing and mastery, in 1999. That same year I was trained in Therapeutic Breathwork, a breathing technique that allows clients in session to “re-take” their first breath to release the painful impressions imprinted at birth, and certification in the technique followed in 2000. During many years of study and practice, I’ve also taken courses in Esoteric Healing, Advanced Energy, Quantum Touch, Tibetan Chakra Toning, Muscle Testing, Spirituality, and Dreams among many others on this path of remembering what my spirit always knew.
Most recently I was guided to “birth” a wonderful new healing modality, Sacred Heart Soul Healing (SHSH). After using the techniques on clients over the course of two years (2012-2014), I began teaching the first level class. Through sessions as well as training others, I continue to learn more and the process grows, and shifts with the unfolding blessings of Spirit. I am ever grateful to Beloved Jeshua and the Ascended Masters and Archangels of Light for giving me the guidance and understanding of how to do and present this modality.
Much of my work as a healer/teacher/messenger focuses on assisting others in opening to their gifts, embracing wholeness and enhancing their spiritual connection. In addition to practicing alternative healing modalities, I teach classes in all levels of Reiki, Angels and Archangels, Energetic Cleansing, Intuition, Crystals, Chakra Balancing, Meditation, DNA Activation and more.
In order to answer the call of Spirit to focus on writing, I retired from seeing clients at the end of 2017 but continue to joyfully offer monthly classes on angels, crystals, and more through my Meetup group, A Gathering of Angels. My upcoming trilogy of novels, The Michael Saga, tells the story of two incarnated angelic twin flames who are in deep communication with their mentors, Archangels Michael and Metatron, as they work toward lifting the planet beyond shadow. The first book in the series, Gathering of Angels, will debut in August 2021. These days I’m working on the second book in the series and have started the third as well. I still need to edit both writing and art for another upcoming book release, Kindred of the Crystal Kingdom, which features information about and messages from the crystals, a multitude of exercises, and crystal ascension art for a large number of stones.
Although my primary work now is as a writer and editor, I still love to teach classes and help others connect to the angelic realm.
